Between science and culture, interactive and playful, intergenerational and for all ages, it comprises thirty experiments about the five senses that shape our gustatory image.
Perhaps you think that tastes are either sweet, salty, bitter or sour. Have we got news for you! Taste is a particularly complex sense which cannot be reduced to these four simplistic adjectives. It is actually composed of multiple perceptions. Follow the chronology of a tasting that reveals the diversity of gustatory stimulations through the five senses. Smell, eyesight, touch, hearing, flavours, aromas, textures, aspects, temperatures, trigeminal sensations, retro-olfaction… This unique and interactive journey provides stimulations which – through the prism of cultural and personal experience – form the multi-sensory gustatory image commonly called ‘taste’. This exhibition includes an area specially designed for 3 to 6-year-olds: Mouths of babes A matter of taste you are going to experience !
