Who are we? Where do we come from? What is our place on this earth? What trace will we leave of our passing? Man is a species among many others but is it a dominant species or on the contrary an invasive species?
Exhibition under development. Pictures will be added soon.
Description
In 2019 the Natural History of Toulouse had the pleasure of hosting for it last tour Extinctions, an exhibition created by the Natural History Museum of London.
In a desire to be more substainable in our touring activities, it was decided by mutual agreement that the NHMT would buy the entire “Extinction” furniture in order to create its own version of the project.
This new exhibition will be on the road in the spring of 2022.
Like many museums around the world, the NHMT has decided to commit itself to raising awareness about the protection of biodiversity and ecosystems. The major intention of this exhibition is to place man in the universe, insisting on interdependencies, but also :
Deal with the subjects of ecology and the evolution of biodiversity
Help citizens pass from current status of egoistic citizen (turned in on himself) to an eco-citizen (united, open to others).
Help the visitor to move from emotion to responsibility.
Present possible scenarios for the world of tomorrow.
