Activating ancient history through the use of emerging media, Victoria the T. rex – The Exhibition, transports visitors back in time, invites them to meet Victoria, a newly discovered Tyrannosaurus, the second most complete and third largest specimen discovered to date. Part art encounter, part science investigation, this unprecedented exhibition offers a view of T. rex never before seen.
The journey begins with a film, transporting visitors to the Cretaceous Period when Victoria lived. An invitation to meet Victoria moves visitors to the second gallery, where they explore her fossil. They deconstruct her details through AR; “become” her through sensory episodes; create a holographic version of her; and watch her play out roles as a mother and a predator. In the final gallery, step into a
high-tech, three-dimensional diorama and experience a fully realized version of Victoria in her habitat.
