We are at a pivotal moment in our history as we seek to appoint Touring Exhibitions Coordinator. This year we will launch a new strategy setting out our role as the natural world faces increasing threats. Building on our world-leading collection, global reputation for science and as one of the world’s leading visitor attractions, the NHM has ambitious plans leading up to the 150 anniversary of the opening of the Waterhouse Building in 2031, making this a truly exciting time to be part of the NHM team.
Job scope
This is a great opportunity, supporting all of our operational work across the Touring portfolio, with the primary responsibility of the Wildlife Photographer of the Year (WPY) touring exhibition.
You will project manage the production and delivery of the Wildlife Photographer of the Year touring exhibition, working closely with other internal departments and with external suppliers. This will include managing the delivery of the WPY touring exhibition through to hosting venues world-wide, ensuring the on-time installation and exit of the exhibition at national and international venues. As a part of this you will need to monitor budgets and making sure that they are met, troubleshooting issues as they arise and feeding into the internal process to ensure best practice and efficient, streamlined process.
You will also oversee the creation of all supporting materials and provide these to venues and will be responsible for the creation and implementation of marketing materials related to WPY on tour. Also providing support to the Touring Sales team on all operational issues, you will contribute to sales process by gathering and analysing statistics to monitor results and benchmark in specific regions
About you
You will bring excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate and influence, to this role. Having built experience in supporting the Logistics/Operations of a Project or Department, and developed basic skills in project management, you will be accustomed to broadly organising and optimizing your workload.
