Call for new exhibition App concepts

Biinlab, the creative web platform dedicated to cultural mediation, is organising its first contest. The Biinlab startup, based in Lyon (France), invites stakeholders of the cultural industry to design the next feature they would like Biinlab to propose on its cultural App creation platform. “There is no limit, and the aim is to run wild with one’s imagination.” A panel of experts will select the best feature. Then, Biinlab will develop it and integrate it into their platform. The winner will win an unlimited 12-month access to Biinlab to test and use the feature and build apps for exhibitions.

The cultural actor as a designer

Biinlab wants this contest to put the cultural institutions at the heart of the reflection on digital outreach.

“We are closer to cultural institutions and visitor expectations when we include them in the research process. By designing their own feature, participants enroll in the Design Thinking approach, precisely like designers do every day. This contest is an opportunity for exhibition makers to think more deeply about the typology of their audiences, their needs and their expectations”.

How to get involved?

Contact the Biinlab team for application forms at vincent@biinlab.com. Exhibition makers will have until December 13th to design an idea and get involved in the contest.
