Founded in 1973 by the Van Gogh family, the Van Gogh Museum is the world’s leading authority on Vincent van Gogh and the art of his time. Home to the largest collection of Van Gogh’s works – 200 paintings, 500 drawings, 800 letters – the Museum is dedicated to sharing Vincent’s inspiring life story with global audiences.
This TEA award-winning exhibition translates the Museum’s 50 years of research into an unforgettable and magical journey in the footsteps of Vincent van Gogh. As visitors travel through the cafes, villages and landscapes that shaped Vincent as a man and an artist, they delve deep into the science, art history and personal conflict behind the world’s most iconic paintings. We understand that today’s cultural institutions face major challenges to address their diversifying audiences. Nomad Exhibitions works closely with our partners to tackle such challenges as increasing membership base; working with limited resources; seeking new avenues of independent funding; and developing strategies for participating in global dialogues. We represent a curated portfolio of prestigious touring exhibitions of art, science, history and popular culture from leading cultural institutions around the world, each designed to appeal to a diverse audience. Using our partner’s guidelines we tap our expertise and international connections to find the right exhibition for their institution and audience. Once we’ve selected the perfect venue or exhibition, we coordinate and execute the design, devise a seamless installation plan and manage the operations and logistics from concept to completion. On the flip side we advise the world’s top museums on how to reinterpret, shape and market their own touring exhibition strategies. We always ensure an exhibition is tailored to a local audience, putting the visitors at the centre by the careful selection of objects, inclusion of local collections, and incorporating local stories into an exhibition adapted for your community.
