Ultramodern eco-houses, skylines consisting solely of green roofs, cities that cool down in summer… They already exist on a small scale. Small – that is how all BIG changes start. Brick by brick or, in this case, LEGO® brick by LEGO® brick.
Seeing is believing! In the Science & Stones exhibition, you will discover that cities that are good for their inhabitants, the economy and the planet are not utopias; they are within reach. Take a stroll around the impressive 3D constructions by Belgian artist Dirk Denoyelle and explore cities where green areas are as important as buildings, where you can cycle and walk without seeing a single car.
In Science & Stones, you will also come across a series of scientists fashioned from LEGO® bricks. Dirk Denoyelle has made beautiful mosaics of scientists like Pythagoras, Newton, Da Vinci, Marie Curie and the one and only Professor Gobelin, from the Flemish comic book series Jommeke. Along the way, you will also see a forget-me-not made of hundreds of tiny figures, a mosaic of Greta Thunberg, and the eco-city from Spirou, another Belgian comic, in 3D. See how building is elevated to a real art.
