The BnF Travelling Exhibitions Officer will work in the Museum, Exhibitions and Events Department, to support the Director of the Department and the Head of Exhibitions. The Officer will be responsible for coordinating and supervising exhibitions with original artworks created by the BnF for external partners, both in France and internationally, as part of co-organisations, co-productions or production of exhibitions for hire.

Job description

  • Ensure the follow-up and coordination (design, pre-production, planning, execution) of exhibitions scheduled internationally for 2023 and 2024; take part in the development of new off-site projects.
  • Take part in the internal study of the national and international touring policy model, for exhibitions based on the BnF’s collections, and in the pre conception, if required, of the future unit in charge of these exhibitions.
  • Take part in the negotiation and contractualisation of new projects with institutional partners and, in this respect, ensure functional liaison with other departments, such as the Publishing Department for the sale of catalogue rights, where appropriate.
