The exhibition is curated by 9e Art Références, a French cultural company managed by Bernard Mahé, whose mission is to help cultural institutions, whatever they may be, exhibiting original comic art and illustrations, thanks to high quality exhibitions through curatorship and loans. For over 20 years, Bernard Mahé has been actively contributing to the recognition of 9th Art, and curated the exhibition Cómic. Sueños e historia, which has been touring Spain's CaixaForums with great success since 2022.

Based on the 9th Art Références collection and enhanced by a network of passionate collectors, this retrospective showcases some of the finest pieces of sequential art. Works from our collection are regularly loaned to major museums for retrospectives dedicated to comics, such as the Bundeskunsthalle (Comics! Mangas! Graphic Novels!, 2017), the NMNM (Marginalia. Dans le Secret des Collections, 2021) and the Centre Pompidou (La BD au Centre, 2024). Our vast collection also enables us to be flexible and adapt our exhibition to the country and venue where it is presented.
