Embark on a unique journey to discover Earth's biodiversity, from the appearance of life on Earth to the richness of today’s biodiversity, and the current crisis.
> Serge Morand, born September 20, 1959 in Rennes (Brittany, France), is a French ecologist and evolutionary biologist.
A specialist in parasitic ecology, he is interested in the diversification of parasites and the role of parasitic diversity as an ecological and evolutionary force. As a field ecologist, he analyzes the role of biodiversity for the health and well-being of humans, their animals and wildlife. He conducts his research mainly in Southeast Asia, on the impacts of global planetary changes (climate change and land use change) on the links between biodiversity conservation, health and societies. His research approach combines global analyses and local studies, valuing a pluralism of scientific disciplinary approaches.
