An exhibition that brings together more than 70 of Reambrant’s recordings, almost a third of his total production. There are approximately three hundred prints that the artist created throughout his career and his career as an engraver was conducted in parallel with that of a painter, above all it had an autonomous character: in fact, Rembrandt hardly used the medium of printing to reproduce the paintings. Rembrandt was one of the first artists to abandon the concept of printing as a means of reproduction.
A fascinating exhibition to look at up close, suitable for all museum spaces.
The works are all framed and ready for wall display.
The catalog is in Italian but available for translation.
Photos of the works are available in high resolution.
