ALISON JACKSON

Alison Jackson is a BAFTA and multi award-winning contemporary artist, who explores the cult of celebrity and our blurred sense of reality. Jackson creates photographs of ‘celebrities’ using meticulously styled celebrity lookalikes, she creates convincingly realistic images of celebrities in imagined private moments, questioning truth, fantasy and our willingness to believe what we see. Her work examines voyeurism, the seductive power of imagery, and our false sense of intimacy with public figures. Jackson’s work is collected by major collections including the National Portrait Gallery, the Parliamentary Art Collection, and SFMOMA.
