The Australian National Maritime Museum opened in Sydney 1991 and started touring exhibitions in 1992. These exhibits are specifically designed to share the maritime experience with communities and organisations around Australia and internationally. The topics explored include ocean science and innovation, maritime archaeology, art and photography, Indigenous cultural history, immigration and naval history. Two of our exhibitions currently touring internationally are James Cameron Challenging the Deep and Brickwrecks sunken ships in LEGO® bricks (a co-production with the Western Australian Museum).
