Description

Founded in 1914, the Royal Ontario Museum showcases art, culture, and nature from around the world and across the ages. Canada’s largest and most comprehensive museum houses a world-class collection of 13.5 million artworks, cultural objects, and natural history specimens, featured in 40 gallery and exhibition spaces. As the country’s preeminent field research institute and an international leader in new discoveries, ROM plays a vital role in advancing our understanding of the artistic, cultural, and natural worlds.

ROM launched its travelling exhibitions program over a decade ago and since that time has produced trans-disciplinary exhibitions inspired by its unique art-culture-nature collections. Applauded for excellent visitor-focused interpretation and design, accessibility, and educational content, ROM’s exhibitions have won numerous international awards. Some exhibitions are being approached as collaborative ventures; ROM is open to partnerships and co-productions with other institutions.
