Description

OceanXperience puts visitors in the driver’s seat of a personalized adventure. Climbing aboard an interactive replica of OceanXplorer, the most advanced research and filmmaking vessel in the world, visitors choose a mission tailored to their interests.


As visitors explore the vessel and enjoy hands-on STEM-based research tasks, their journey is tracked and enhanced with RFID technology.


The adventure culminates in an interactive facilitated HoloLab experience and powerful cinematic scenes in the 360-degree theater. Filled with soundscapes, touch, and visually dynamic media, the exhibition is sure to engage all the senses.

The most captivating rooms from the vessel have been recreated in the exhibition to give visitors a sense of actually being an Xplorer onboard OceanXplorer, including:

Exhibition Missions

Onboard OceanXplorer visitors work towards completing their mission which consists of three tasks at interactive stations. The three tasks closely align with how the Xplorers work and conduct research in OceanXplorers.

Mission Briefing and Registration

OceanXperience utilizes RFID technology to provide a customized visitor journey. After activating their RFID wristband, each visitor will choose from a variety of missions tailored to their interests.
