Photographic Traveling Exhibitions is proud to announce the new exhibition, SEEN & UNSEEN: PHOTOGRAPHS BY IMOGEN CUNNINGHAM, is now available for presentation worldwide. The exhibition premiered at the Bowers Museum in Santa Ana, CA, in 2016. It is available for scheduling through 2025.
The exhibition features 60 photographs including Cunningham’s most iconic works, as well as a selection of images that have never or rarely been seen before. The exhibition is being curated by Celina Lunsford, Artistic Director, Fotografie Forum Frankfurt, Germany. Based upon new research by Lunsford, biographical and aesthetic topics will be explored throughout the exhibition.
SEEN & UNSEEN is the first exhibition of this seminal artist’s photographs to tour the USA in 20 years, giving a new generation the opportunity to view her work for the first time. Categories such as family photographs, portraiture, abstract still lifes, and work from the 1960s and 1970s, including street portraits from Haight Ashbury and Paris, are just some of the themes this show will explore.
The photographs come courtesy of the Imogen Cunningham Trust. The exhibition was organized by The Imogen Cunningham Trust in association with Photographic Traveling Exhibitions.
