Mythos
Mythological Creatures
The myth arises from the need to explain reality, to overcome and resolve nature’s contradictions; it is the imaginative way of explaining the origin of things. Myths are much more than a series of stories handed down by ancient people: they represent a fundamental part of every culture, they are the colour of history.
In the myth, a cosmogony of divinities made of real and fantasy animals (huge snakes, lions, monstrous dogs, goats, horses, bulls, eagles) and human parts live and transform themselves, so as to compose creatures often representing mankind’s negative characteristics. These divinities are not only charged with magic and power, but also suffer and amplify the evils that afflict mankind: anger, misfortune, infidelity, unhappiness.
Mythos – Mythological Creatures consists of 32 life-size models of mythological creatures created by taxidermy and sculptural techniques. The dimensions of the specimens range from a 13-metres dragon to a 6-metres Pegasus among others. Each creature lives in its own world created with the best landscaping techniques and new technologies such as: AR, NFC integration, QR code explanation panels, Immersive room experience, high quality projectors.
