Salary: $82,400 to $113,300 per year

Responsible for overseeing the overall project pipeline for the Walt Disney Archives exhibits program and events as assigned. Duties will include coordinating activities and reporting on success metrics to WDA management, ensuring appropriate communications, project support, resources and delivery to meet stakeholder expectations.

The Project Manager, Exhibitions (PME) manages and coordinates various high-visibility and cross-functional project programs for Walt Disney Archives (WDA). Projects are mostly in WDA traveling exhibitions program but may include other WDA events as well. The PME will be responsible for managing multiple concurrent traveling exhibitions that will range from project development requirements, scope and deliverables to budget and management of all project-related activities – from initiation through project closure.

Job description

The PME is responsible for providing data and inputs necessary for proper project prioritization as well as managing the full project life cycle (initiation through project closure). The PME coordinates with various other Disney departments, such as Legal, Corporate Alliances, DPEP, Corporate Communications and other business units of TWDC where applicable – to establish project teams, communication and collaboration with project sponsors, and provide structure and project discipline to the initiation, planning, execution and closure of assigned projects.

The PME is responsible for managing project scope, deliverables and communications to WDA management and will include executive level reporting and presentations. The PME will work with WDA Exhibitions and Operations management to establish project financials including capital and expense cost estimates and project benefit financials.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Manage project plans for new exhibitions and assist with events, marketing, sponsorships, and merchandise development
  • Acts as point person for project level communications to keep sponsors, stakeholders, business partners, and team leads informed on matters including: progress to plan, key milestones, and integration efforts/needed across the program and/or project risks, issues, etc.
  • Provide “first line of defense” support to exhibition and event teams to troubleshoot issues
  • Create and manage project implementation plans, which include but is not limited to: deliverables, milestones, schedules, crate lists, and action items
  • Assist Exhibition Leads with install/de-install of exhibitions
  • Other duties as assigned

The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
