Touring Exhibitions plays a key role in the global reach of Natural History Museum generating soft power opportunities and connecting Natural History Museum to Museums worldwide through a range of temporary exhibition partnerships.

As our Senior Touring Exhibitions Operations Manager, you will oversee the planning and delivery aspects of the touring exhibitions programme, from content creation to venue operations. Working closely with internal teams and external suppliers to execute projects on time, you will focus on ensuring that they are to budget and to international quality standards. You will also manage the relevant venues, guaranteeing that receive premium-level operational support and that we minimise operational spend to ensure a profitable touring programme.

As a key advisory contact on key projects around the museum, you will share your expertise from touring and general exhibition practice such as the national programmes, new initiatives and launch of new exhibitions.

The successful candidate will have significant logistics/operations experience, including large scale manoeuvres and handling of museum/specialist collections. This will be teamed with significant project management and programming experience, with Practitioner level PRINCE2, MSP, AGILE, PERT qualifications or other recognised methodology. You should also consider that substantial international travel will be required for this role.
