Our International Sales team markets and sells Science North products and experiences to science centres and other venues all around the world. We are currently looking for a new Travelling Technical Specialist to join our team.

Science North is looking for an individual to join our amazing team of technical personnel who install, maintain and manage our portfolio of exhibits and visitor experiences.
The Travelling Technical Specialist, reporting to the Manager, International Sales Operations will be responsible for providing technical expertise for the installation, de-installation and maintenance of exhibits, exhibit systems, and other visitor experiences.
This is how you will spend your time:
- Lead the installation of Science North travelling exhibitions in venues throughout North America;
- Develop and customize floorplans for Science North travelling exhibits to guide installation in client venues;
- Develop and execute work schedules for off-site work;
- Provide prompt and efficient remote technical support to clients of Science North’s travelling exhibits;
- Analyze technical requirements, and source appropriate equipment and solutions for new exhibits;
- Research and source suppliers, obtain quotes and purchase related goods and services in accordance with organizational policies;
- Lead 3rd party teams in the operation and maintenance of products installed in off-site venues throughout North America
This exciting role requires someone with:
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in the technical field; including AV, electronics, technical design
- A post-secondary degree and/or diploma that lends itself to the position (or equivalent experience)
- Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving and innovation
- Proficiency in using SketchUp or similar program
- A valid G driver’s license in good standing
- Ability to travel internationally; with a valid passport
Compensation package highlights
This is a full-time 4-year contract position supported by an excellent compensation package:
- Starting salary range 42,600 – 53,000 per year, based on experience
