Description

The delights of the table have inspired, over the centuries, both the most precious jewels and the most fashionable costume jewelry.
The shapes and colors of edible products have helped trace a joyful, playful, and ironic history of jewelry.
Through the art of jewelry-making, food—freed from its nutritional function—has been transformed into a purely aesthetic form: a design object rich in symbolic meaning and immediately recognizable.
Becoming the meeting point between the planning of food design and the jeweler’s imagination, metal, stones, and enamels give life to food-shaped jewelry in a kaleidoscope of colors, light, and brilliance.

Through historical examples and contemporary works by Italian and international jewelers and designers, the exhibition illustrates how dishes and food have always been vehicles of creativity, highlighting the aesthetic and cultural value of food.
Following this historical journey, the focus arrives at contemporary jewelry, understood not only as an accessory or ornament but as an object born from experimentation and the search for new materials and forms, becoming an emblem of pure creativity.
