Travel to 13th-century Mongolia to discover the amazing world of the greatest of all civilizers. This world-touring blockbuster exhibition reveals the influence of the man who brought the West paper money, passports, pants, forks, violins, and much more.
Live musical performances, elaborate sets, role-playing activities, hundreds of rare artifacts, and a dozen videos distinguish this unique exhibition experiences.
Treasures include jewels, armor, ceramics, weapons, and costumes – the largest collection of 13th century Mongolian relics ever toured.
*Daily musical performances are presented by award-winning, internationally recognized Mongolian artists. Performances feature traditional Mongolian arts, including UNESCO-recognized throat singing, horsehead fiddle, harp, calligraphy, and more.
*Don Lessem, the creator of the exhibit and founder of Dino Don, was recently awarded The Order of the Polar Star, the highest civilian honor from the Mongolian government for his efforts to promote Mongolian culture. Only 20 Americans, including President Obama, have received the Polar Star.*
Our exhibit was curated by various scientists at Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. Past lenders include Hermitage Museum of Russian National and the National Museum of History, Mongolia.
