Located in Montignac, in France’s Périgord region, Lascaux Cave is a timeless universal masterpiece—a world-renowned prehistoric site inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
In 2010, the Dordogne Department, in partnership with the French government, created traveling modular replicas of the cave—facsimiles—to meet global public demand for access to this extraordinary site, closed since 1963 for preservation purposes.
Beyond the technological achievement of these increasingly precise replicas, this project has always been driven by a desire to transmit and share this unique heritage of humanity.
From 2013 to 2024, the Lascaux exhibition traveled to 20 destinations worldwide. In 2025, for the first time in its history, Lascaux: The International Exhibition returns with a major innovation: the facsimile of an entire chamber of the cave—the Hall of the Bulls—created in our workshop in Périgord, France.
A monumental facsimile brings the iconic Hall of the Bulls back to life.
An exceptional immersive experience awaits you in a space reproducing the 25 m (82 ft) walls of the heart of the “Sistine Chapel of Prehistory”.
The Hall of the Bulls embodies the very essence of Lascaux. It is considered one of the most beautiful prehistoric painted chambers ever discovered.
Inside this life-size reproduction of the Hall of the Bulls, an audiovisual sound and light show—featuring 15 video projectors and a spatialized sound design delivered through 12 speakers—plunges visitors into the underground world of Lascaux. Bulls, horses, and other creatures come to life.
A unique collective experience, accessible to all: a journey back to the origins of art.
A 20-minute immersive journey inside the prehistoric cave of Lascaux, guided by voice, light, and hand interaction. Explore independently and access every gallery—even the deepest and most inaccessible areas.
