Since the dawn of time, the Moon has fascinated and inspired us.
Today, it continues to spark debates, dreams and projects : lunar bases for future missions to Mars, development of new technologies and scientific discoveries.
As a meeting point between culture, knowledge and ambitions, the Moon still reflects our deepest aspirations…
The exhibition MOON – Episode II, We’re Going Back! takes you on an unprecedented journey to discover our natural satellite through two immersive spaces: “Moon Observed” and “Moon Inhabited”.
The tour traces iconic missions, from humanity’s first steps to contemporary space projects. It is enhanced by testimonies from astronauts past and present, true guides of the exhibition, who provide a concrete perspective on the challenges and stakes of lunar exploration.
At the heart of the exhibition, “the experiment lab” features lunar demonstrations.
The exhibition also explores the human dimension: why go to the Moon, and how can we live there sustainably?
Because the Moon is more than a destination: it is a scientific laboratory, a stepping stone toward future missions to Mars, and a key to understanding the origins of Earth and the Solar System. Through its expertise and scientific partnerships, the Cité de l’espace brings these challenges and discoveries to life.
The distinctive feature of our exhibitions is the hands-on labs: each exhibition includes a lab where visitors can engage with the theme through demonstrations.
