Description

Following the international success of the film MY LIFE AS A COURGETTE (2016), the new film by Swiss director Claude Barras, SAVAGES!, was released in cinemas in October 2024. The travelling exhibition SAVAGES! invites visitors, young and old, to extend the magic of the film and enter into the intimacy of its creation.

The Exhibition

This coming-of-age story follows on from my previous film: Ma vie de courgette. Like it, it originally combines the realism of a serious and profound social issue with a simple and colourful visual universe to give the film its poetic form.

Claude Barras

The exhibition is a kaleidoscope showcasing the different facets of the film. Much more than a making-of, it aims to take visitors behind the scenes. The magic and emotion evoked by the film will not be desacralised or reduced to technical feats, but, on the contrary, magnified. After falling in love with the film, visitors can deepen their appreciation, based on the idea that we love what we know even more.

Highlights

The 3 themes of the exhibition

The exhibition follows three threads which it weaves and intertwines, like three ingredients in the recipe that gives its incomparable flavour to the new film by Claude Barras: the mastery of technology serving an ecological and humanitarian cause bathed in unique poetry.
