We are looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic and organised Touring Exhibitions Co-ordinator to work with us at Birmingham Museums Trust for a 12 month period. This role will play a key part in the development and delivery of the touring exhibitions programme.

12 month fixed term contract – We will consider remote working for the right person.

Part Time: 18.5 hours per week

The English Civic Museums Network (ECMN) International Touring and Exhibitions Working Group is currently developing an international touring programme to raise the profile of English Civic Museums and their collections with stakeholders and audiences, working entrepreneurially and in partnership, and generate income for all participating tour partners. There are currently up to three international touring exhibition proposals in outline and require further development – Art to Enchant: Fairies, Magic and the Supernatural; Gods, Myths and Legends; English Ceramics post-WWII

From this, we are now looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic and organised Touring Exhibitions Co-ordinator to work with us at Birmingham Museums Trust for a 12 month period. This role will play a key part in the development and delivery of the touring exhibitions programme.

Based within the Collections Directorate as part of the Curatorial and Exhibitions team, you will collaborate with a guest curator, partner museums in the English Civic Museums Network and exhibition organisers in Japan to develop proposals and object lists for an exciting programme of international touring exhibitions.
