The Natural History Museum is a global centre of scientific excellence and one of the UK’s most visited attractions. Through research, collections and exhibitions, we champion advocates for the planet and inspire millions to care about the natural world. Our 350 scientists advance understanding of life on Earth and develop solutions to the planetary emergency. Touring exhibitions extend this work beyond our walls, bringing science-led storytelling to audiences worldwide.

Wildlife Photographer of the Year is our most enduring and far-reaching exhibition. For over 60 years, it has showcased extraordinary photography, revealing the beauty and fragility of nature. Each image offers a glimpse into wildlife and the ecosystems they depend on. Touring internationally, the exhibition invites audiences to explore nature’s complexity, sparking curiosity and inspiring action.

Recognizing the unique and enduring creative legacy started by Walt Disney, the Walt Disney Archives was established in 1970 to collect, preserve and make available for research the historical materials relating to Walt and the company he founded.

The Walt Disney Archives is currently touring our hit exhibition Heroes & Villains: The Art of the Disney Costume. Showcasing 70 costumes from 33 films, representing 25 designers, and worn by 66 different actors, Heroes & Villains showcases the craftsmanship and artistry of Disney costume designers, offering visitors up-close look at nearly 5 decades of Disney film and television costumes.

Launching in August 2026, our newest exhibition Capturing Life, Creating Character: The Art of Live-Action Reference will explore character animation through rarely seen photographs and artifacts of live performers and their animated counterparts – celebrating both the actors’ performances and the animators’ artistry in bringing characters to life.
