JULES VERNE 200: A Unique Immersive Journey into Literature and Science
JULES VERNE 200 is the most ambitious production to date by Layers of Reality—a large-scale immersive experience that brings together cutting-edge technology, virtual reality, the metaverse, and traditional exhibition formats. This groundbreaking project pays tribute to Jules Verne, one of the most visionary and influential authors of all time, whose imaginative works not only anticipated key scientific and technological advancements but also helped shape modern storytelling and popular culture.
Launched in the lead-up to two major anniversaries—120 years since Verne’s death (2025) and the bicentenary of his birth in 2028—this experience is both a celebration and a rediscovery of his enduring legacy. The project is created in collaboration with Société Jules Verne (Paris) and Institut Français (Barcelona).
For the first time ever, visitors can step into the extraordinary worlds envisioned by the legendary French writer. The exhibition offers a captivating journey through Verne’s life, his creative environment, and his most iconic novels, including Journey to the Center of the Earth, Around the World in Eighty Days, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, and more.

Designed for all ages, this large-scale exhibition spans eight rooms and runs between 60 and 90 minutes—ideal for both solo visitors and group experiences. JULES VERNE 200 premiered in September 2024 at IDEAL – Center for Digital Arts in Barcelona and will kick off its international tour in June 2025 in Brussels.
