Dive into the mesmerizing world of a Samurai with SAMURAI: Sunrise, Sunset. Discover centuries of Japan’s formidable military history through masterfully crafted armor, weapons, and intimate personal artifacts. Drawing from the rich and varied Japanese collection of the Museo Stibbert of Florence, Italy, recognized as one of the most outstanding collections outside of Japan, the exhibition features roughly 100 exquisite objects related to the legendary Samurai warrior class. Witness intricately designed suits, eccentric helmets inspired by nature, and the legendary katana, showcasing their military might. Delve deeper into the Samurai ethos with lacquered calligraphy boxes, incense trays, and other artifacts that chart Japan’s broader socio-political landscape.
