The Art of Hipgnosis

The Art of Hipgnosis is an exhibition of work from the legendary photo design studio Hipgnosis. The exhibition represents visually the Golden Age of Music from 1969 to 1982 when vinyl sold in tens of millions and the album cover was considered as much an asset to the band as the music inside. Hipgnosis were the ‘go to’ London studio and made some of their most iconic pictures for Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Paul McCartney, Peter Gabriel, AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Genesis, The Rolling Stones, Yes, and 10cc. The Dark Side of the Moon of Pink Floyd is probably one of the most recognised and iconic images of all time. The exhibition is curated by Aubrey Powell who is the Creative Director of Pink Floyd and toured by EXPONA.
